Welcome to EHDI-DASH

EHDI-DASH* is an effort by the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) Program to simplify the presentation of annual data from states and territories about infants screened for and diagnosed with hearing loss.

With EHDI-DASH, users can create a series of interactive data maps and reports. These reports summarize data from the annual CDC EHDI Hearing Screening and Follow Up Survey. The use of maps makes it easier to understand, compare and use this data.

EHDI-DASH can show trends, and statistics for states and territories by different years and summarize progress towards national EHDI goals. Examples include:

  • percent of infants screened for hearing loss before 1 month of age,
  • percent of infants undergoing diagnostic assessment before 3 months of age, and
  • percent of infants enrolled in appropriate early intervention programs before 6 months of age.
